HONOLULU (Aug. 31, 2017) – In the wake of Hurricane Harvey and its effects on Texas, Hawaii-based Crazy Shirts has donated more than $5,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Relief fund and is supplying more than 4,000 fresh clothing items to help those impacted by the storm. Additionally, the company has created an exclusive “Aloha for Texas” t-shirt design, which will be available in its retail locations and online starting on Wednesday, Aug. 31. Crazy Shirts will contribute proceeds in the form of cash and in-kind donations totaling up to $25,000 to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
“As the events in Texas continue to unfold, our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who are coping with aftereffects of Hurricane Harvey and also with those who have given so selflessly to lend a hand to their neighbors in need,” said Mark Hollander, Chief Executive Officer and President of Crazy Shirts. “At Crazy Shirts, we wanted to do our part to support relief efforts. Hawaii has had its fair share of hurricanes over the years, so we know what it takes to recover and rebuild. We hope that our contributions will help make a difference in the rebuilding process.”
The back of the t-shirt features an outline of Texas, stylized with its state flag colors, alongside the Hawaiian Islands archipelago and emblazoned with the world “ALOHA,” with the Lone Star standing in for the “O.” The front of the shirt includes a red, white, and blue version of the Crazy Shirts logo atop an outline of the Lone Star state and reads “Sending Aloha.”
TThe men’s classic white design retails for $29 and will be available at Oahu retail locations and online at crazyshirts.com starting on Thursday, Aug. 31, and at neighbor island stores on Friday, Sept. 1.
