Origins
Crazy Shirts legacy began in 1964, when Rick Ralston founded one of the first companies in the world to sell the modern "T-Shirt" using distinctive designs that reflect the exuberant Island lifestyle. Ralston set-up shop on a Waikiki sidewalk charging $5 to airbrush monsters, hot rods and surfing scenes on T-shirts. Purchased by Only the Best, Inc. in 2001, our brand has evolved into an internationally recognized casual apparel brand. For more than 60 years, we have clothed millions (literally) of our fans in their celebration of the adventures in everyday life.
Going Pro in 1982
Crazy Shirts opened its custom-built corporate offices in Halawa Valley, where the company is still going strong today. Created specifically for Crazy Shirts in the 1980s, this beautiful building, from its yellow cedar exterior to the antiques inside, befits a company whose employees proudly call themselves “Crazies.” The overarching theme that permeates everything we do is creating products that are classic while maintaining a sense of creativity and irreverence in their designs. In many ways, we create and help people preserve lasting memories.

Retail Store
Crazy Shirts retail stores offer premium products you won’t find anywhere else. With 21 stores across the Hawaiian Islands and 10 stores on the mainland, we’ve come a long way from our modest beginnings in 1964 as a small T-shirt airbrushing business on the sidewalks of Waikiki. Two of our newest locations are Hanalei on Kauai and Grand Canal Shoppes in Las Vegas.
